clearances and background checks

All coaches, assistants, managers, parent volunteers, etc. must have up to date clearance and background checks prior to the start of any season.

FYSC requires the following clearances to be uploaded to your GOTSPORT profile and approved by the RBJSL registrar (for travel teams) or reviewed by FYSC Risk Manager (for academy and travel teams) before being able to coach:

• PA State Police Criminal History Clearance

• PA Child Abuse History Clearance

• FASD Volunteer Affidavit

  • If you have not been a resident of PA for the past 10 years you will need to complete a FBI fingerprint clearance

The Risk Management form for EPYSA must also be completed and approved in GOTSPORT.

Anyone who will be helping with a team must register in GOTSPORT as a coach.  All travel coaches must upload all required GOTSPORT clearances as well as complete the required HeadsUp and SAFESport training.  All academy coaches must upload all required GOTSPORT clearances but do not have to complete the HeadsUp and SAFESport trainings unless they wish to.
